1. Service Description

Smart Academy AI is an AI-powered educational platform. Learners receive personalised quizzes, summaries and AI tutoring.

2. Access Codes

• Codes are valid for the purchased period only
• Individual codes activate on one device only and cannot be transferred
• Group / Classroom codes work within a 250m radius of the registered location only
• Sharing access codes is prohibited

3. Payment

• Accepted via bank transfer and mobile money (Airtel Money, M-Pesa, Orange Money)
• PayFast card payments: ✓ Operational
• Prices listed in USD, ZAR, and FC (Congolese Franc)

4. User Responsibilities

• AI tools are for learning support only — not for completing assignments
• Users are responsible for compliance with their institution's integrity policies

5. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and AI systems remain the property of Smart Academy AI.

6. User Generated Content

Smart Academy AI is not responsible for the accuracy or completeness of User Generated Content. This includes documents, images, notes, and any materials uploaded by users to generate quizzes, summaries, or AI responses.

Users must rely on such content at their own risk and indemnify Smart Academy AI against any claims arising from content they submit. By uploading content, you confirm that you have the right to do so and that it does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.

Smart Academy AI does not store uploaded documents beyond the active session. AI-generated responses are based on the content provided and may contain errors — always verify important information independently.

7. AI Usage Limits

Each access code includes a fixed AI usage allowance equivalent to the amount paid. Once this allowance is reached, AI features (quiz generation, tutoring, document analysis) will stop working for that code until a new code is purchased.

To make the most of your access: use uploaded documents wisely by reducing the number of pages where possible — uploading only the relevant sections rather than entire lengthy documents helps your usage last longer.

8. AI Accuracy Disclaimer

Smart Academy AI uses Large Language Models (LLMs) including GPT-4o (OpenAI) and Claude (Anthropic) to generate quizzes, summaries, key points, and tutoring responses. These are powerful AI systems, but they are not infallible.

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. Quiz questions, explanations, calculations, and summaries are generated automatically based on your uploaded document and may not always reflect the correct answer or the full context of the subject matter.

Users are strongly advised to:

• Double-check all AI-generated answers and explanations against their textbooks, teachers, or other reliable sources before relying on them for academic or professional purposes.
• Not submit AI-generated content as their own work in violation of their institution's academic integrity policies.
• Treat AI responses as a study aid and starting point, not as a definitive or authoritative source.

Smart Academy AI accepts no liability for academic, professional, or personal decisions made based solely on AI-generated content.
